When Second Blooms Sneak In

by Jul 19, 2020

Moving to Mckinney after the sale of my floral and event business in West Texas I thought I was retiring, for good. Little by little that first year here in North Texas I dabbled in small parties I would throw and bought and designed flowers every chance I got for friends and family. Then I looked at my schedule one month, little did I know, I was happily back into my passion full force.

We are all on a journey,  our own personal journey’s. Each with different talents, dreams, and desires. We are not all created with equal skills, abilities, or opportunities.

I feel so fortunate to be full force on my own journey with my God given talent.

I just did a study on God’s purpose for our talents.

Reading Matthew 25:14-30 made me want to dig deeper into the reasoning of using our talents to support our livelihood.

Success only occurs when we take action.

What causes us to bury our talent and never use it? Out of fear we often choose to do nothing.

Fear trumps faith, if we let it.  Fear trumps mission if we let it. Fear makes cowards of us all, if we listen to its message more than God’s Words.

Once our faith is bigger then our fear, that is when we will see, that through our journey, God gives us everything we need to do what He has called us to do.

I didn’t want to be like the 3rd servant in Jesus’ Parable of the talents recorded in Matthew 25: 14-30 that hid his talent away doing nothing to increase it.

Faithfully,

Stormie
